On April 1, we held an orientation for the new third-year students, and five third-year students were assigned to the Shikida Lab. During this orientation, we had brief self-introductions from the fourth-year students, third-year students, and international students, as well as a talk by Professor Shikida. We look forward to getting to know both the international students and the third-year students better!
In addition, we held a welcome party for the new students on April 16!
We gathered at the cafeteria and enjoyed a fun get-together with all lab members, including the international students. Through icebreakers and sharing a meal, we were able to deepen our connections and had a very friendly and enjoyable time!
It was really fun to interact with the international students—people I don’t usually get to spend much time with—through shared meals and Japanese culture!
I hope everyone will give their best as members of the lab from now on!
